The Southern Triangle repeats in the southern sky the image of the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But beside it is no longer the Lamb, but the constellation of the Altar. Therefore the two halves of the sky seem to repeat the same truth in different images: in the north, the Triangle is beside the Lamb; in the south, the Triangle is beside the Altar. Through the sacrifice of the Son, the way to the Father is opened to man and the Holy Spirit is given.
Full interpretation
Verifiable historical, etymological and topographical statements are accompanied by sources. The theological conclusions are the project’s interpretation according to its published methodology.
In the southern sky there exists another almost perfect triangular figure — the Southern Triangle.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
The constellation itself was distinguished by European navigators considerably later than the ancient constellations of the northern sky. But its actual position among the stars creates a remarkable continuation of the overall picture.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
In the northern sky:
The Triangle lies next to the Lamb.
In the southern sky:
The Southern Triangle lies next to the Altar.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
These are two sides of one story.
The Lamb represents Christ as the Sacrifice.
The Altar represents the place where the Sacrifice is offered.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
And beside both lies one and the same geometric image — the Triangle.
Therefore the Southern Triangle also shows the Triune God, but places special emphasis on the fact that through the sacrifice of Christ, access to God is again opened to man.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
Sin separated man from God. Man lost free access to God's presence. But the Son of God came into the world and offered Himself as a sacrifice.
At the cross, the entire Triune God is at work.
The Father gives the Son. The Son voluntarily offers Himself. The Holy Spirit participates in the accomplishment of this sacrifice.
The Epistle to the Hebrews says that Christ 'through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God'.
In one sentence, the whole picture appears again:
Christ — the Son; the Holy Spirit; God the Father.
And all of this is connected with the Sacrifice.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
Therefore the proximity of the Southern Triangle to the Altar remarkably corresponds to the biblical picture of salvation.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
Through the blood of Christ, the way back into God's presence is opened to man. He receives the right to address the Father, and the Holy Spirit begins to live within him.
Thus the Trinity does not arise because of Golgotha — God eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But it is precisely through the sacrifice of Christ that fallen man is given the opportunity to enter into communion with the Triune God.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
And here the northern and southern skies seem to answer each other:
Northern Triangle + Lamb. Southern Triangle + Altar.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
The Lamb is offered on the Altar.[Kunitzsch & Smart][IAU · имена звёзд]
And the result of this sacrifice Paul expresses in one phrase:
'Through Him... in one Spirit we have access to the Father.'
This is the whole heavenly composition.
The Son opens the way. The Spirit unites with God. The Father receives. Three — One.
